
Dorothy began her voice career in the late 80's in Boston. Her classical theatre training and her vocal range catapulted Dorothy to the top of Boston's voice market for a decade. Dorothy worked with all of the Boston Ad agencies and was considered the premiere voice/over talent to hire. Her client list included McDonalds, Veryfine, Volkswagon, Gucci, TJMaxx, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Calvin Klein, Jordan Marsh, Boston Ballet, Shubert Theatre, Wilbur Theatre, BayBank, Casa Myrna, BADD, The Boston Globe, Lechmere, Jordan Marsh, Filenes, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Putnam Securities and hundreds of other clients.
Dorothy moved to Los Angeles in '93 and San Francisco in 2001. Dorothy has been signed with Cunningham, Escott, Slevin, Doherty in LA, Special Artists in LA and NY, Innovative Artists in LA and is now with Stars in San Francisco. Her West Coast client list includes Visa Signature, Cadillac, Subway, Mirage Hotel, X-Men 2, Charles Schwabb, HealthNet, Blue Cross of California, California Lottery, Stroll San Francisco, Toland Brown, Sam and Max (Dorothy voices three different characters in the on-line game.) and many many others.
While performing on stage and on-camera, Dorothy studied with Kristin Linklater for voice, Keith Johnstone for improve, Peter Frisch and Josephine Lane for Acting, and the Alexander Technique for movement.
Dorothy has produced 2 one-acts at the Matrix Theatre in '07 and is in the beginning stages of producing these one-acts on the East Coast.
